  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello, i am new to the christian faith, and i feel as if i would really like to listen to christian music, only I don't really know of any christian bands let alone good ones. I would love it if you could recommend some to me.

Ohh, and don't worry about style of music, if it praises Jesus then it's fine by me :)

What type of music to you like??
There is every type of music in Christian as well... I can point you in the right direction if I know your type. Since you left it wide open with style I could list 100s... I want to narrow it down. Rock, Country, Praise & Worship, Rap, Dance style, hymns, fast, slow... just let me know.

I ditto the Jeremy Camp post... Casting Crowns is along that same line

I like Michael W. Smith's Worship CD, KJ52 for Rap, Third Day, Newsboys, DC Talk, Nicole C. Mullen, Toby Mac, I could go on and on

Personally, I like listening to rock such as Thousand Foot Krutch, Pillar, or Skillet. We also listen to John Reuben, KJ52, Relient K, and many others. But my parents listen to stuff like Jeremy Camp, Kutless, Casting Crowns. ImHisServant is right, there are several types of music that focus on God...so take your pick.

I strongly suggest the "Rock 'n' Roll Worship Circus". They are great musicians with hige hearts, an awesome message and wonderful style. You can hear influences from teh Monkees to Pink Floyd in their music, and Jesus in their lyrics.

It amazes me that these guys aren't hugely popular.

I like the harder side of music.

Project 86
Living Sacrifice
No Innocent Victim
Mortification
Extol
Soul Embraced

That kind of thing. I see you're from Egypt, if you're not used to metal some of the bands further down on the list may scare you. But I assure you they all love Jesus and some of their songs have helped me out quite a bit.
