Another young adult in my church and I are trying to start a youth ministry at our church directed toward the 18-29 year old age group. I would say regular attendance at our church to be around 50-70 people every week. The two of us are in our early 20's and there are probably about 10 people in the targeted age group.
In all honesty, we don't really have an idea about how to get started. We've been brainstorming with the pastor, but we find obstacles in all the ideas we come up with. The funny thing is that the two of us were not raised in the church and have only be baptized within the last couple of years, so we really don't have any experience with youth groups.
Are there any resources or advice you would give? I would really appreciate it.
