I was just referred to come down here, I have a question (as odd as it might appear) can someone help me confirm whay the numeric value of this word is?

This word

mê'âh - ‛eśrîym

מירשע-האמ
(Mem, Aleph, Hey - Ayin, Shin, Resh, Yod, Mem)

I understand the word is a numeral (or rather, in itself) of a specific number as in One-hundred and Twenty but my inquirey is what the numeric value of it... As in Gematria or whatever you might call it.

I know its sorta an "odd" request, I just need confirmation on something concerning it. I'm sorta looking for what might be considered a second opinion (by coming here) because I have already received a first opinion on it and would like further confirmation of that opinion, so if anyone could help me out, I'd sure be really thankful

Peace to you

You typed the Hebrew words backwards. It's מאה ועשרים (meah ve-esrim). The gematria of "meah ve-esrim" is 672.

מ 40
א 1
ה 5
ו 6
ע 70
ש 300 (sin, not shin)
ר 200
י 10
ם 40

The addition: 40+1+5+6+70+300+200+10+40 = 672

Now that I look at it, I guess you were trying to get at 666 by leaving off the conjunction. No one says מאה עשרים, and you'll find that the conjunction is used in the Scriptures, too. מאה ועשרים has a conjoining vav. Why would you want to connect 120 to 666, anyway?

Thank you VERY MUCH!!

No I'm not (personally) but someone else shared something with me that got "my attention". It made alot of sense when he told me those two are shown in combination in certain places and was sorta confirming for me a specific patern I was seeing (though not in the same way as he was). so its sorta hard to just "tell you why in a few words" (as we were coming from two different places on a thing but nevertheless the thought came to me, "could this be true"? But it is one of those things that I know nothing about (and is why I am here asking) to get a confirmation on it or otherwise, so Im glad you answered my post (much appreciated). I posted asking about this in a few places to be certain I do not "discard it" if it be true or discard it if none agree.

Its why I said , "Its an odd question" because its not "my approach" to scripture. Though, I was very curious whether his approach on tying this (unknowingly) into (what I was catching) would pan out by taking his "into consideration". Unfortunately I dont know hebrew or how he arrived at what he arrived at and I knew I needed someone with knowledge of these things (to confirm it or not).

So before I can jump to any conclusions (blindly accepting his word) on the matter I needed to be certain (and cross check him). I can normally do that myself but in this particular case I could not (especially in regards to this particular method). Im very unfamiliar with it though my curiosity was killing me, I must admit ^_^

Thank you so very much for the time you took to help me, much appreciated, God richly bless you
