Being A Friend?


I really don't want to hurt my friend, she a gentle lady. She does have a kind-heart too. Her name is Pinky.

There is one thing that she does that get me annoyed with her.

She keeps saying she come and see me, but never does. It hurt me. makes me feel like she doesn't want to see me.


Should I talk to her and tell her how I feel, she has done it quite a few times now? I know she not perfect. I'm not perfect myself. Or Should I just let it blow over?

I think you certainly deserve an answer, but I suggest you ask her calmly, not with an accusing tone. Maybe there really has been stuff keeping her from coming, but then again maybe she doesn't want to come. I don't think you can let this blow over, unless she stops doing it.

Some people are "possibility" thinkers. They say a lot of things they end up not doing. She probably does that to everyone.

Now that you know that's just the way she is, you can realize it doesn't really mean she is making a promise to come over and see you. All it really means is that, to her, coming over to see you sounds like a fun idea and she might do it sometime.

Or, maybe I'm wrong, but giving her the benefit of the doubt, that's what I'm thinking.

I don't know if you should say anything to her or not. You might want to ask her about it, if you're comfortable with that.

Just casually bring it up next time you talk to her. Good friends tell each other everything. Friends tell each other everything thats bothering them and they tell each other the truth. Let her know how your feeling about it. Like Fallingwaters said. She probably does it to everyone. She may not even realize she's done it!
