Need Help Protesting GSA

Hello fellow christians,

I need some really big help on a protest. The protest is about GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) group meetings that take place at Godwin Heights High School. The allanice is about issues about being gay is normal. I'm friends with the leader of the alliance and there are some large immoral issues and topics that I seen about the group. I been protesting the group for about 4 months and I have no luck talking to the school board. The school board says that the protest needs to be a non-religious issue. I need help on the protest about why shouldn't GSA take place in a public school.

Contact the American Center for Law and Justice. They should at least be able to inform you of your rights, and the responsibility of the school administration to recognise those rights.

I called the Legal Helpline but i got no answer Is there any more helpful services?

Legally, there is no way you can stop them. The best thing to do is pray for them and your friend, and witness to them.

I think Lotar is right--the GSA has a right to meet on campus. If you accomplish your aim--getting rid of the GSA--the only way to do so is to close the campus to non-school activities, which means any religious group you might belong to (e.g., the good news club) would not be able to meet on school grounds, either.

What would you like the outcome to be? Then maybe folks can give you some advice.

I don't think you've failed, Kyle, any more than you would "fail" if you tried to fly. If something is not possible to accomplish, then you are not a failure for not accomplishing it.

That doesn't mean you can't continue to pray for, and witness to, GSA people.
