  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

A few prayer requests: when i was with my ex i promised him we could trade tax returns so he could buy a car. but now i don't know if that is the right thing to do now that we aren't together (we have a kid together, so that is why i would still consider it)...i don't know what to do now...my friends tell me i shouldn't cause i carried him for too long and he is taking advantage of me, and i know keeping it would give me a good savings account for emergencies...please pray that i do the right thing

next: please pray that i have the courage to speak openly and honestly with my pastor tonight, so that i might recieve the help i need. and that i don't make a fool of myself and say something inappropriate...(new christian...)

All Mighty God please give her the actions and the words to say throught your Holy Spirit. You know that she tries hard to follow your commands. Please help her to remember your commands first. You give courage like water poured from a river, please send a stream her way Lord. In Jesus' Holy Name I pray, Amen...

I'll be praying for you. I know this must be hard, but considering that you and him have a child together, why don't you put that money towards something for the child, like maybe starting up a college fund instead of giving it to you ex for a car. If you feel like you do need the money then I don't see why you have to give it to him and especially if you'll be using it on your child and I'm sure, if he's a good parent, he'll see what you mean. Take care and God bless. Love, Tanya

if i keep it that is what i would do, though her college fund is already taken care of...some would be emergency savings, the rest her personal savings...but i think if i give it to him, and he gets a car, he can get a better job, make better money, be happier with himself, have the independence he needs, and be a better father to laura (not that he is bad, but he is unhappy and that effects her)...but i am not sure what to do yet...no answer i guess i will pray harder when i go to prayer week tonight...

He may use that money for good use, like you said he may get a car, get a better job, etc. But what if he just buys himself a car and that's it? I don't know the guy, but if you trust him to use the money wisely to better himself then it's your decision. And congrads on already setting up a college fund, seriously, so many parents forget to do that early and then they have to scramble for money when it comes up. :D Just stay in prayer, He'll show you what to do. I pray everything works out for you! God bless Love, Tanya

i can't take credit for that...my mom's ex-husbands parents are very wealthy and very decent people who have put enough money in an account for her to go to any college anywhere she wants...i still want to save some for her, as a graduation gift or whatever...but i think there is like 100k in an account for her, in a high interest account
