We filed for a divorce three weeks ago. Currently husband is unemployed. .. I work part time waitressing. I am living in a separate bedroom but in his mom's house. We have one truck in both of our names which we financed. He is wanting to keep the truck but wants me to make the payments until the divorce is finalized ... In Wisconsin you file and then 4 months later is the court day. I would like to pick up my things and get in my car back to CA with my family and start over get a job and go back to school.... but I don't want to ruin my credit and worry about them coming after me for the truck payment if he doesn't pay the payments.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

then you need to talk to your lawyer about that. If he can't pay for the truck - since he has no job - is he expecting you too?

He is expecting me to pay it while we are going through the divorce which is 3 more months then once the court day and we are divorced. He says he will pay it and if he still doesn't have a job his family will help him and refinance it in his name. But that is just taking his word for it I can't ruin credit I'm not sure what to do.
