  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi:wave: I have a question that I hope someone might be able to answer. I graduated in 97 with an AS degree. Now, I want to change my career. I want to take courses to become a teacher at a university. My question is, will my units still be valid. I have alot of units from the past and my grade point was a B average. Will they still honor my degree as solid and valid. I believe they would accept me as a Junior in a university, but is it too late? I'm really excited of this new change and I would be soooo disappointed if they did not honor my past acheivemets. I hope someone can help. I live in California and want to apply to Cal State San Bernardino (If that helps). Thanks and Happy New year. God Bless, Karen

That said, there may be plenty of things that you can test out of. Each school will be a little bit different in that regard. I would recommend that you contact different schools and find out what their requirements are.

Typically the things that I notice that tend to need to be redone is requirements for the major and writing skills. I've heard of schools requiring students to take those classes over again and everything else is ok.

Pray about it and see what happens. The only downside I see is having to pay more money for school. The extra work and information will be valuable for you in the long run, especially as a university teacher.

Btw, what are you looking at teaching?
