I reluctant as I am to open up, I think I'm gonna post in this thread anyway. Maybe a little lengthy...

I ended a relationship up with my girlfriend two months ago, I stand by my decision and feel like that it was honourable to God; as there was friction in differing characters and Spiritual maturity. I asked myself whether I saw myself marrying her and I couldn't give myself a straight answer. But I do still miss her, more than I'd like to admit.

I've been struggling with masturbation much of my Christian life and I find it a tough habit to beat, especially as seeing as it was more or less chronic before I was born-again. Currently, I'm seeing greater victory in that area as I've been taking greater precautions and as a result, has become fairly infrequent. Would still like to be free of it though and have been persistent in prayer over it.

Lastly, over the past year; I've found I've been struggling with not pornography - but certainly sexualised images and videos. They may not be explicit, but at the end of the day; there's little difference. Lust is lust and it often leads to masturbation regardless.

So I'd also appreciate accountability as well prayer in these areas. I'll make sure to pray for you guys too. May God bless.

I myself was married. I am divorced now, and in the end it couldn't go on due to infidelity (on her part). However, I played a roll as well, and a big part of it was my struggle with porn and masturbation. Among other things, It caused a disconnect and intimacy issues.

I am now remarried and still trudging along in this area. I'll have months of freedom and purity, and like a storm it will come raging in again.

Please can I join your email accountability thread? I've been fighting for almost 17yrs now with pornography and masturbation, and I'm determined to over come it thus year once and for all. I want to be free.

But I need help... I need accountability partners who understand and can offer support and advice. It's time to stop dealing with this on my own in the dark.

I have the same struggles as all of you here. I am 32. Been saved for 7 years now but struggled for around 4 years.
I have just signed up to this website today to find some accountability. Any luck in setting up the email accountability group?
If not, is anyone interested in having a accountability with me either through email or Skype. (I am open to any communication). I have previously had purity for around 6 months before I fell again. Those months were the best as I truly felt the Lord's grace on me. I want this again and more!! What I am learning is that humility before the Lord and Spirit filled prayer are key for freedom.
I need someone who I can be honest with and have some meaningful fellowship with.
