I go to UNL so I definitely say GO HUSKERS! Awesome last two games of the season. What part of NE are you from?

I live in Fremont. Just north of Omaha. I love Husker football. Where are you originally from.

I've lived most of my life in Hastings, but I've kind of lived all over the state.

Is Nebraska a good place to raise a family?

It used to be a pretty good place to raise a family when I lived there. It was a number of years ago though.

I lived in McCook and North Platte. These towns are in the southwestern part of the State.

I've had several friends that have moved away gotten married and then moved back to Nebraska to raise their kids! Other than the taxes, it is a nice place to live.

I'm in Lincoln here but originally from Western Nebraska. I have to say that I would agree that Nebraska is a great place to raise a family.

I have two brothers in the Seward/Lincoln area. I went up there for a wedding. Man, ya gotta love CORN!

This is such a small state...I've lived just about everywhere previous posters have mentioned. I live in Seward, go to school in Lincoln, and was raised near McCook.

And I'd say this is a great state to raise a family, but unfortunately the southwestern part of the state is full of mostly ghost towns at this point. They can't keep businesses or school and people keep moving east to Lincoln/Omaha or west to Colorado. It's really sad.

I'm in Omaha and I like it except for the taxes, and I have tons of deductions. I suppose the odd thing about it is how most of the people seem to be bored with their lives. Every day I live and everywhere I go exciting things seem to be going on. Like that song goes, 'There's somethin going on everywhere I go...' I've lived in Easter Nebraska, Western Nebraska when I went to Chadron State College, and I was in California while I was a Marine. I still live in Nebraska because its my home and I like it here. Although, I am curious about either Hawaii or Germany so the wanderlust may take me away again someday.

I'm always going to be a Nebraskan - although after getting married, I crossed the state line and now live 5 miles into Kansas. I lived in a small town halfway between Lincoln and Hastings. GO BIG RED!!

After many years in Minnesota, we've now been in Omaha for about a year.

My wife's folks live in Council Bluffs, IA - though that didn't play too heavily into our decision to move here.

We absolutely LOVE living here in North Omaha. It's wonderful!
