The last post on this thread was in 2017. I had a near death experience when I was 49, and it changed my whole life. I have studied them for over 30 years. Just wonder if anyone wanted to discuss them some more here.

More than 10 million Americans have experienced them. Most of them are pleasant loving experiences. They change lives with the knowledge they impart.

Any detail you are ok sharing.

Were you a believer when it happened?
When did you realize it was a NDE?
Did it take awhile before you could share it?
Did you get to a point where you didn't care so much about how others reacted?
How did it impact your relationship with the Trinity the most?

When I was young my mother took me to church, tent meetings, Bible school and just about everything related to evangelical religion. In those days there was a lot of sermons on Hell, Demons, and the dark side. As a child I became very frightened of going to Hell. I would cry when I was alone and went down the aisle countless times to give my heart to God.

When old enough I quit church completely. In college I studied religion, philosophy, and psychology. The fears subsided after reading the Bible cover to cover in college and learning about its origin. At this stage I believed in God, but not like I used too when young.

The NDE was the product of a heart attack, I was out of my body and talking to a spiritual presence. He asked me if I wanted to continue here or go on. To live or to die. I chose life and that began a series of spiritual experiences that taught me to Love instead of fear. I am still learning to Love and the adventure has been wonderful.

There are many things church teaches that I no longer do. I am not saying they are bad, just unnecessary. My focus is on following the teachings of Jesus.

At the end of her life, an older friend told me a little about her NDE. Her biggest regret was not telling a lot of folks about it. She said it had taken her a while to realize what had happened. When she told her husband, he knew that she wouldn't make it up but he had never heard of a NDE. Then when she told a few people, almost every single person rejected what she was telling them. So over a period of time, she rarely mentioned it. When she told me, I was so confused and overwhelmed by her account. I didn't criticze her but didn't support her at all - which I really regret. But I hadn't heard of NDEs. Decades after it happened, what I saw was - she deeply loved Yahweh. An example of her behavior was when others were criticizing and gossiping, she didn't participate.

Yes, yes, that is what NDEs teach you. It is what Jesus taught, to love one another. Could you tell us about her experience?

I don't remember a lot.. She had a neurological problem. During the surgery, she thought she wouldn't know anything but there was God.

Her recovery was lengthy which delayed her being able to process her NDE. She was a very quiet, timid person. For her to be strong enough to tell her story and face the rejection was striking. But God became very real to her and think that's why she wished she had told more folks.

I would like to know if they met Jesus and if everything they believe as Christians was proved to them.

I will try to explain by telling about one of my experiences. I was taken to a small hill side where Jesus was teaching a group of people about Forgiveness. I could tell some of them were out of body, and others were souls that had left their bodies permanently. One woman said to Jesus that she "would forgive anyone who asked." Jesus smiled and replied "you should forgive them even before they ask." As more began to ask questions it became clear to me that not everyone saw Him as Jesus. Some called Him Allah, or God while others Buddha. So I came to think each person saw Him as compatible with their religions and beliefs. So I think this is true when people see and talk to an advanced Spirit in the spirit world they believe Him to be what their religion and beliefs were.

I think this may change once they live in the Spirit World for a while.

Some awake and some lucid dreaming. The spiritual world is very large and varies dramatically from person to person. No two NDEs are exactly alike, but have a similarity in some things.

You are absolutely correct. Near death experiences are very real and show the path to spiritual growth. They change lives for the better. There are over 300 of these experiences here if you wish to read them. What they mainly show is the need for people to follow the teachings of Jesus.
