This guy might be the most intresting looking person I've ever seen. He has more neanderthal traits than he does sapiens. He fills all the criteria for how a neanderthal supposedly looked like. Notice the very protruding brow, very long lower part of his face, and his very strong jaw.

He seriously has more extreme neanderthal traits than this neanderthal reconstruction. But look at the similar brow and the very long lower face which is very typical for neanderthals and very rarely seen in modern humans.

Which one does he resemble the most? How much Neanderthal DNA do you think he has? The average European has about 2,5-3%.

The guy in the photo shown fighting Valuev is John Ruiz who is 6'3" tall. Of course he is coming in bent at the waist but still the size disparity is obvious.

Anyone else taken a 23andMe DNA test? I just got my results back and I've got 304 Neanderthal alleles which puts me in the top 15% of those who have been tested so far. The most found has been 387.

Psst do you know anything about finding it in the raw data file? Or did they count up those alleles for you? I used another company, and I was curious about finding the Neanderthal DNA, but I have no idea what I'm looking for.

I did upload my Ancestry.com test data to GEDMatch.com, and while it doesn't provide straight up numbers, you can see how your genome compares against some recovered ancient genomes. Have yet to do that with the 23andMe results.

What makes you think that neanderthals were "sub-human?"

Popular notions have a habit of persisting despite being proven wrong. Remember, this dumb brute opinion about Neanderthals was being propagated up to just comparatively recently both in scientific literature and in the film entertainment industry where they were depicted as apelike, incapable of speech, or else grunting, hunched over and generally mentally handicapped with an inability to reason properly.
