Natural birth

I'm about 7 months along with my second son. My first one ended up being a C-section and although everything is going well this time along I still have the nagging in the back of my head that I' m going to end up with a C-section again. Please pray that I can have a natural birth this time around. Other than I really don't want yet another abdominal surgery I would really like to experiance a natural birth.

Just remember if they offer you pain killers - take them - it hurts

I know quite a few people who have successfully given birth naturally after a caesarian, so hopefully everything will go ok for you.

I wouldn't say that natural birth "hurts"... certainly not like a broken bone or something. It's a different Kind of feeling. I tend to liken contractions to waves~ just ride the waves.

Educate yourself about natural birth (Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way by Susan McCutcheon is Great), find a caregiver is 100% supportive, and read as many natural birth and homebirth stories as you can. The more you're exposed to natural birth and the normalness (is that a word? lol) of it, Even as a VBAC, the more you internalize the fact that you Can do this. I've had 8 natural birth experiences (1 was a homebirth). It's totally do-able!
