  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

I don't believe that the vaccine is the "Mark of the Beast", because the Mark would have to be something that you get in no uncertain terms to show that you are not a christian. So maybe some sort of RFID chip that identifies you as a good, woke socialist, but not a vaccine which you can simply lie about having received or forge a record card (which people are already doing, and I support them for doing it).

I for one won't be showing my vaccination records to any businesses. It's a violation of my HIPAA rights and if a business determines that I have to show them vaccine information, I simply won't shop there. Doesn't bother me not to part with my money at all.

The 'mark' is a pattern repeated through history. In 3rd Maccabees, the story is told of one of the Egyptian Kings requiring the mark of his mystery religion in order to buy or sell, and then, of course, the following martyrdoms of the faithful.

Those reading the Apocalypse of John in it's original context were very aware of this story when reading about the mark.

I was not aware of this. All of my limited knowledge of the Mark comes from the Left Behind™ books that I read as a teenager. I know, I know, the Left Behind™ books are bad theology, but they were pretty entertaining reads as a 14 yo who was having dreams about the end of the world at least once a week.

I think that if a MotB is implemented, it will be some sort of a symbol or mark of allegiance to woke, social justice ideology that you get in order to show in no uncertain terms that you aren't a Christian. Granted I don't think it's going to be '666' or anything, but it will probably be an RFID chip implanted in your skin that Christians are not allowed to get or something.

You're right. There was a "mark" at the time of the writing of the revelation also, but -ironically enough in light of vaccination passports- it was a document from the government confirming compliance with the state religion. You can see one here:

    Libellus - Wikipedia

In his letter to Trajan, Pliny described the process to obtain one:

"Those who denied that they were or had been Christians, when they invoked the gods in words dictated by me, offered prayer with incense and wine to your image, which I had ordered to be brought for this purpose..."

They have a 'Children's Series' of Left Behind. I read it as a child, all 50 or so volumes. Scarred for life.

Anyway, 666 is not materially the form of the mark.
Probably anyways. It is the number of a man. But it is also the number of man, generally. 6 is the number of mankind. Three 6's mean that it is taken to an utmost extremity.

What is the meaning? 6 radius' go into a circumference of the circle and leaves a remainder. 6 is a system which claims to be complete, but has to forcibly forget the remainder to make the claim.

7 I the first number the contains the whole circumference. It is often used to symbolize divine things biblically. The great deluge is associated with 7, so is that year of jubilee, forgiveness, and of course the sabbath.

So, 666 does refer to a system which claims to be comprehensive of reality, but leaves out the divine things.

I can only imagine. After all, the evangelicals have stated that they have to "get them when they're young, because after 18 it's hard to get them to be obedient to a church". I remember one of the things that annoyed me with the first Left Behind books was the insistence that the Pope in the book's world was "raptured because he had implemented a number of Martin Luther's reforms in the Catholic church". If Martin Luther's so-called "reforms" were implemented in the Catholic church, it would fail to be the Catholic church. It would be Lutheranism.

So basically, the socialist justice ideology that is being promoted by our own government currently. A system which is "complete" and "holds all the answers for the challenges of the twenty first century" but doesn't include the divine at all and is actually very hostile to the things and people of God.

Yes. With the social justice, especially the homo/trans stuff is pushing the fringe into the new center. A complete inversion of social moral structure.

Well the interesting thing is that what they're advocating isn't even social justice, it's just plain socialism. The Catholic church teaches social justice, but Catholic social teaching is a no-no because "Christianity is the religion of the slave master" and is "colonial imperialist" or whatever the buzzwords for that stupid nonsense are.

The difference is that Catholic social teaching states that we should practice charity to take care of the poor. "Social(ist) Justice" states that we should expropriate money and property from white & asian people and give it to black people, regardless of whether these people did anything or are living in a way that warrants them needing help from others (for instance, expropriating property from a white or asian plumber with five children to give to a single black academic... because of slavery that the black academic never experienced).

As they usually do, they use words that mean the opposite of what they mean. Freedom is slavery. Love is hate. Etc. Etc.

The democrat party, with all of the help from the sycophant media apparatus, enjoys projecting it's glaring faults onto their opponents. In that way, they let you know what it is that they're really about. For instance, the paramilitary wing of the democrat party (Antifa) calls everything that they don't like "fascist"... as they assault and batter people for the "crime" of merely looking as if they don't flat out hate this country. BLM claims to be opposed to "systemic racism" yet they riot and burn cities in support of the idea of the government expropriating money and property from people based on their race (White) and handing it over to other people based on race (black).
