I don't know how they start, but National Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day should be once a month! When I finally do get around to cleaning out the frig, it is like an archaeological dig! I'm sure some things are prehistoric.

I usually clean as I go along but there can often be far too many surprises in any case. especially when you cook a lot!
