Shoshin and Genma both were tired of waiting. Kakashi sighed. 'Anymore waiting and Genma and Shoshin are going to explode... and we don't need exploded comrades...' he sighed again.

 

[cyberwing]

Bijin sighed. "Maybe Horror isn't coming because of me... he seems to... dislike me." Bijin thought about how that sounded. Shikamaru looked up at her and raised an eyebrow. "I seem to upset him... I am not really sure why..." Bijin tried to explain knowing that sounded pretty lame. She ended up falling silent and blushing.

 

[Quantum X]

Kakashi noticed that Genma and Shoshin were getting even more uptight. 'Any minute now...' he thought to himself. Shoshin wondered what she was talking about, but didn't say anything.

 

[cyberwing]

Bijin looked over and saw Shikamaru still looking at her and she looked away wondering what he was thinking. She wondered with a touch of amusement if Shikamaru would run off screaming about her face like Horror.

 

[Quantum X]

"Another minute..." Kakashi was getting restless himself!

 

[cyberwing]

Bijin turned to Rei. "How are you feeling?"

 

[Quantum X]

"About a five out of ten..." she answered.

 

[cyberwing]

"You shouldn't be going with us then Rei... anything I can do?" Bijin asked, her brows drawn in concern.

 

[Quantum X]

"No... I will go." she answered. Shoshin yawned. Shoshin got up and said, "Let's go... if they're just having problems they can catch up." Kakashi sighed. "I wonder if it was the best thing to put you in charge of this mission..." Shoshin stopped. "I'll pretend i didn't hear that." Genma and Kakashi got up and put their packs back on. Rei got ready and started out of the village.

Shoshin smiled. This was the first mission he'd had with Kakashi and Genma in a while. The group started out of the village. Rei seemed to be spaced out.

 

[cyberwing]

Bijin fell in beside Rei, concern for the other young woman clear on her face. She looked at Shikamaru and wondered if he knew anything about what was wrong with Rei.

 

[Quantum X]

Rei looked at the younger woman and smiled a weak smile.

 

[cyberwing]

"Bijin, have you thought about the bounty hunters?" Shikamaru asked. Bijin's face fell into a frown.
"Yes... how do I stop them?" She turned to look at him.
"Your face is recognized, we learned this last time. I suggest you think about borrowing an idea from Kankurou."
"Ah... a disguise...or what about borrowing an idea from Horror, what about..."
"...a mask." Shikamaru handed her a lightweight mask and she smiled at him.
"You truly are brilliant! Now maybe Horror won't find my face so objectionable." Shikamaru sighed unhappily.
"I feel like a traitor to my entire gender...what a drag..." he muttered under his breath.

Bijin didn't catch what Shikamaru said but it didn't matter he had come up with the right solution as usual! She donned the mask and found it somewhat uncomfortable. She wasn't sure she could wear it all the time.

 

[Quantum X]

Kakashi sighed. Genma started to jump from tree to tree. Shoshin led the way jumping from tree to tree.

Bijin followed Shoshin, still keeping an eye on Rei.

Rei followed the others.

Bijin was listening to the birds singing as they leapt through the trees.

Shoshin stopped to look at the map. He started jumping again.

 

[cyberwing]

The mask was giving her problems and she almost missed a branch because of it shifting position. She pushed it up in frustration. 'I need to see Kankuro about what he uses...' she thought with chagrin.

After a few hours they stopped to eat and take a break. Shoshin hoped that Alex and Horror or one of them would come.

Alex just finished a bowl of ramen and was about to get another one when Naruto said "Are you going on the mission with the others?"
"What?! Oh yeah i forgot about that, sorry to leave you here Naruto but i really need to go." Alex said embarrassed
"More Ramen for me then!" Naruto said happily as Alex left after paying.
Alex ran after the others and in a few hours had caught up to them.
"Sorry for being so late." he said repeatedly for a while.
