  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What name or names do you have picked out for your baby? How did you decide, and what does the name mean?

My lil guy will be named Jace David Larson

I was having the toughest time thinking of a name- and just randomly thought "Jace" one night and it just kind of stuck. David is one of my brother's names- and although Jace's dad is not around David is also his middle name and his father's name (should he decide to be a good Dad in the future, the name will honor his family as well.) He's also going to have my last name- not his Dad's because his Dad is not around.

Jace means a couple of things according to online dictionaries

Greek: A Healing
Hebrew: The Lord is my Salvation

this one will be named Andrew Samuel...

for his great grandfathers...and also for the APostle Andrew and Samuel the Prophet "Here I am Lord...."

My MIL stopped by the other night and was actually in tears thanking us for naing him Andy after her dad (he adopted her, and was both a mentor to my FIL, and so beloved by my MIL)... that is cool. Now that we are actually referring to him by name- I think the name will grow on me....

Peter Franklyn

Peter is my grandfather's name
Franklyn is my husband's middle name (also his dad's, grandfathers and great-grandfather's middle names... going back further into his geonology, but not sure how far).

I think I'll call him Pete more than Peter thought.

Noelle Elizabeth. Mostly we just like the name Noelle...it just "feels" right. An added bonus is the fact that she's due in December and Noelle means Christmas. Elizabeth is a name my husband likes...I like to do family names for middle names, but we couldn't find one we thought went with Noelle really well.

When we do decide on names, I'm only going to share them with the internet. I'm not particularly pleased with my close family's assumption that I want to hear their thumbs up or thumbs down on my names. Hubby and I haven't bought a names book yet, but the two we both like so far are Elijah and Sarah-Beth. If we change them, my family won't be hearing about it, that's for sure. :p

Hmmmm.... for our previous babies we knew right away for a boy, but never had a girl's name picked out. Good thing we haven't had a girl!
This time we're tossing some around:
Boy: Daniel
Girl: Zephora
Grace
Bethany
Rebekah

None of the girls names are sticky yet. And I'd like to find a few more boy choices!
Fun!;)
