• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We gave out nice stuff, every time: an antique clock, crystal glasses, and lawnchair.

Name three places you would love to see receive some Christmas cheer, and why they're important to you.

For example, one of my choices is the Omaha Open Door Mission's Lydia House, a place for women who are running from DV. I'd like to see it, because I know that when a women and her kids have to run away in the middle of the night, the toys usually don't come along. And noone should be without at least one toy on Christmas.

Faith House - it's a local transitional home for women/women with children who just need some help changing their lives - whether they've come out of an abusive situation or are getting off of drugs or whatever - it's a hand up to start their life over in a new way.

Boys and Girls club - it is a wonderful place for many of our town's youth to spend their afternoon. Many of the kids have no place to go after school and for many home isn't a good place anyways. The Boys and Girls club offers great activities and wonderful adults that really do care about these kids and want to see them have fun and realize that they are important and valuable!!!

Red Cross - they help our community in so many ways during times of crisis and need. I think at times they are overlooked because they are such a internationally known organization that people thing they have all the funding that they need when in reality they still need help for their programs like everyone else. Also, they were there for me when I lost my apartment in a fire - I mean literally a Red Cross rep showed up on the scene of the fire just about 30 minutes after I got there and offered me whatever help and assistance I might need.

Name the last three repairs you had to make to your car
