The Flood apparently. Is there some event that the editors of wiki are not aware of?
Comparatively speaking, I tend to agree.Maybe it was a very small flood.![]()
The Egyptians came from Noah's grandson, Mizraim.Did someone tell the egyptians?
The Egyptians came from Noah's grandson, Mizraim.
Genesis 10:6 And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
QV please: The Sixteen Grandsons of Noah.
Nonsense, Egyptian culture and religion from pyramid building, language, religion dates from 3000bc onwards without interruption, there is zero evidence of a global flood from Egypt. The idea that Noah's grandson learned the language, the religion, the architecture etc and continued that civilisation uninterrupted is truly absurd on the level of believing in fairies at the bottom of the garden. Indeed I would give greater credence to the fairies. The Egyptians came from Noah's grandson, Mizraim.

Only on paper, my friend.Nonsense, Egyptian culture and religion from pyramid building, language, religion dates from 3000bc onwards without interruption,
There is zero evidence of a global flood from anywhere, including Mesopotamia.Goonie said:there is zero evidence of a global flood from Egypt.
Noah's grandson was the first Egyptian.Goonie said:The idea that Noah's grandson learned the language, the religion, the architecture etc and continued that civilisation uninterrupted is truly absurd on the level of believing in fairies at the bottom of the garden.
Why?Goonie said:Indeed I would give greater credence to the fairies.

He didn't 'learn the language, the religion, the architecture, etc.,' -- he fathered it.Why?
What do they say?
Farming in egypt and mesopotamia began on the flood plains. The silt from the flood makes very rich farmland. Every so many years they have a bigger flood than usual and people think it's a big disaster. There was no flood,
True, both Egypt and Mesopotamia are flood plains, I was talking about the global flood that many fundamentalists believe in.Farming in egypt and mesopotamia began on the flood plains. The global flood took place in Pangaea about two million years ago. Noah flood around 4300 years ago was a type or a metaphor. Moses did save all the domesticated plants and animals. They did spread to the world from there. Science has put a huge amount of work into the discovery of how farming and civilization began. Just as the Bible suggests science confirms that Nineveh was the first city. Also the walls in Nineveh are still there today. They did come tumbling down just as the bible says. In every way the Bible has been shown to be an accurate and reliable history book. There is zero, zip, nada evidence of a global flood as you have stated. Unless you are arguing that God flooded the world and the falsified the records, in which case his word is worthless.
So long as you only cherry pick the evidence. The global flood took place in Pangaea about two million years ago. Noah flood around 4300 years ago was a type or a metaphor. The fundamentalism your talking about is based on a misunderstanding of bishop ushers book written 4 or 500 years ago. It is an amazing book. Like Moses in the Bible he based his book on other books that are no longer in existance. Actually Moses studied clay tablets but the Egyptians wrote on scrolls. People need to read these books for themselves and not go by what other people say about them. Even its in the public domain and sometimes you can find a copy online of the good bishops work. Now I got to listen to atheists giving their opinion of fundamentalists understanding of the good bishops work and it all gets twisted in a extremely unscientific way by people who claim to believe science ..............True, both Egypt and Mesopotamia are flood plains, I was talking about the global flood that many fundamentalists believe in.
