  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You are right-Amazing Grace, my chains are gone
:clap::clap::clap:

Ok--we are on this one:

You said we're through before
You walked out on me before
I tried to tell you, but you didn't want to know
This time you're different and determined to go

Hint--this was the very first hit by the Rolling Stones in the US. ;);)

Tell Me by the Rolling Stones.?

Absolutely correct! BTW--if you get this on CD today, it most likely will include an instrumental verse that was not on the orginal 45. This song was the 1st hit by The Stones in the US!

Your turn to post lyrics!

And the dreams that you dare to dream
really do come true

Only one answer! Over The Rainbow, original, of course, by Judy Garland, in the 1939 movie The Wizard Of Oz.

YouTube - Somewhere Over The Rainbow (clip legendado)

Ok--for some great rock and roll trivia! This song rates as the most song recorded in the doowop style. There are so many, but this one, IMHO, was the best! In almost every case, when this song was done by a doowop group, they tended to flatten out the melody, and this one is no exception. But--enjoy!

You got it! Did you know that there was an answer song to this one? Done by Jo Anne Campbell The Girl From Wolverton Mountain

Had to Google that one! Came up with Witch Doctor, The Chipmunks!

This one is a bit obscure--ok to google. Beautiful ballad!

As I lie awake resting from the day
I hear the clock passing time away.

You got the Chipmunks with Witch Doctor right. I thought I'd throw a funny one in.

Didn't they try to find some good for you and me?
And we'll be free

Wonderful song, regardless of one's political persuasion!
And did not have to google. Love this song! Answer:

Abraham, Martin, and John--Dion.

Actually, I made a video for this one some time back! Could not upload to youtube, so chose this site--give it time to load, and you may, or may not have to watch a short commercial before it begins

Abraham, Martin and John

Easy one here!

We won't find out until we grow
