You got the song, but obviously, I was thinking about the Platter's version. Did a quick search, and yes, Elvis did it 6 years before The Platters; but amazingly, neither version was the best selling!

The best selling version was done by the Sammy Kaye Orcherstra in 1950, a number 1 hit, and spent 25 weeks on the charts. Here is the info:
