i am afraid of lightning and thunder. this is because i watched my horse be killed right in front of me as a kid.

I was in a foster home, and i was asked to go put all the horse back in their stalls. I put on my shoes to run out in the rain, when the lightning hit the horse maybe 3 to 5 feet in front of me, it was a horse i rode regularly, and also did shows with, her name was sugar, she meant the world to me, to this day, i am very afraid, my whole body locks up.
