In a plastic slip case, a sheet of paper that has gone brown with age. I found it in a book from the 19th century that I bought at an auction. The paper is 5" x 2-3/8". On one side, is a hand-drawn doodle in red ink: a scroll, a sailboat, a few shocks of wheat. On the scroll is written:
Oh! see the Saviour, tender and sweet,
Beckoning you to his pierced feet.
Longing to hear you His name repeat;
And therefore mercy, and pardon entreat. --C.F. Luscher
At the bottom of the sheet is written:
My friend this appeal is for you.
On the back of the paper, also in red ink, is written what I assume to be an order of service:
