Hi. I need some help in figuring out this beautiful hymn I heard on TV a while ago. "Behind the Terror: Understanding the Enemy" was a BBC/Discovery Channel special that aired back in 2001 shortly after the terror attacks. Near the end of the broadcast they featured this song in the background of their closing remarks. It was performed by a children's choir and an orchestra. Luckily I recorded the show on VHS, but I still haven't been able to make out any of the words even after listening to it over and over.:sigh:

I believe I also heard a split second of it while watching CNN around Christmas Day when they mentioned the Pope was holding a midnight mass.

Fortunately I did manage to make an MIDI file with a pretty good clip of the melody. So hopefully that might help if anyone knows the name of the song. Thanks.:D

We sing that tune to "My Shepherd Will Supply My Need" in our hymnal, but when I went to the cyberhymnal, their tune to that hymn is different. Our hymnal calls that tune "Resignation", but when I listened to the tune with that name in the cyberhymnal, it is a different tune. I searched through their midi files for that tune (CMD), and could not find it.

However, I went to the Oremus Hymnal, and found it. http://www.oremus.org/hymnal/m/m184.html

Oh yes that's the one! Thank you very much. I heard it sung by a children's choir and orchestra and it was so beautiful. I could barely make out any of the words they sang, but that's ok; it's better not to know what they're saying.
