haha, I guess I agree with the OP as far as physical goes. I like a nice butt as well.

character... hmmm... I really like a positive, genuinely sweet girl. Like happy go lucky. It's infectious.[/quote]

Too many characters, you only get to choose one. :p
LOL, they all go together. Fine. I want somebody who is happy.

physical: white skin(note: that does not have anything to do with race)

Alabaster skin is beautiful... just as all skin tones are. :)

Thanks for clarifying on your view though. ;)

no prob :) i think people of all skin tones are beautiful creatures so i hope no one misunderstands me. asian woman are beautiful. black women are beautiful. middle eastern women are beautiful. mexican women are beautiful. i hope i didn't forget anybody else with different skin tones.

for me though, the white skin, meaning the color, has been the biggest "turn on" thus far, also due to the fact that i've primairly only been in relationships with white skin colored women. 2 were mexican tho(i think the one was mexican...hmm amenisa lane is sometimes useful, and sometimes not) but white skin does it for me in many many many many many many many many many many ways...hmm i sound like a womanizer hahaha. nah, i just like staring at beauty and have no qualms over-exaggerating my attraction to beauty, or i'm a flaming hetero :D

It's very comforting to know that some men actually prefer lighter-skinned women (I'd like to think our 'preferences' help balance us out in the end lol). For a time, women actually bought into the whole "I must go tanning, lest I look like Casper" thing, but those sentiments still exist. I have a couple friends who are SO ashamed of their "ghostly" skin tone, they use make up to "cover" it up... or they just feel so self-conscious for being so pale. It's beautiful though!

I, myself, have dated primarily pale, White men and though it isn't a preference, I have loved them (and their skin tone) irregardless. Black is beautiful, as well though. So is Brown and every other color in between.. but Hispanic men aren't generally attractive to me (general height differences).

Can't help what you're attracted to. :)

:)

you brought up a topic, i have STRONG opinions about.

i HATE how this social, cultural, female insecurity based on men's pompous, gross, pornographic indulgence in their sexuality or wherever it came from, idea that women need and at times, burden them with, which inevitably controls them to burn their skin to be hot, sexy, beautiful because like everyone else they want to be accepted, and they want to know their partner thinks their beautiful and to be desired after. taking these natural needs that are perfectly justified and might i add, wonderful needs and turning that into a way to get their selfish fantasies? NO WAY

first off:
women that look like cancer are unappealing, enough said. it is kind of like women that are too skinny just don't look healthy. there's a difference between being naturally skinny, and looking like you eat nothing in a society that you can eat plentiful in if you so desire. whatever happened to a woman having a body and that's ok ya know? a little cellulite is perfectly fine. some love handles are nice to cuddle with. a proportionate body shows off the figure of the woman which in our culture, where's the figure? now of course each woman is built differently anatomically, but each of those types show off a great, natural femine figure, and what has happened to that in our society? seems like the standard is starve yourself, and burn your skin to be attractive. i'll pass on that standard, and go after women that are better than the standard that i see, and hear from guys around me.

secondly:
i won't complain about a healthy glow from our sun. our sun gives life to everything. makes a beautiful day even more beautiful but not a glow from a machine. healthy tan is perfectly fine, but not an industrial burn across the entire body ya know?

sorry i'm going on a tantrum here, and i hope it doesn't distract the thread. i'm just baffeled by what seems to be, the new standard of beauty that we see in the media, that we see people pushing on each other, or themselves, that we see men, abusively pushing on women. women shouldn't have to change their skin color, or the body to be seen as beautiful just because the man has grown tired over the years, or because the men watch too much of various of types of media that i think kind of made the problem worse.

...they use make up to "cover" it up...

That brings up another thing for me- I tend to be more attracted to women who don't use/use less makeup. I'm not sure if its their confidence in themselves that I am attracted to or that I just think makeup doesn't look good, but less is more to me when it comes to so-called 'beauty products'.

**Edit- Im with you on that thought Im_A.

Another thing I wish all women knew? You can find just as many men who are attracted to you once you take off the makeup. I've had much more positive reactions/experiences with men when I did not wear any makeup.

Some of my friends don't believe me, but it's true. Men are much more prone to confronting you when you look more natural and not "done-up" like a Dallas broad (the show, not the city). I think it's because, as you said Ryan, it conveys confidence. And confidence is sexy... or, attractive. Another thing is, it makes a woman appear more approachable and not stuffy or conceited. A woman like that isn't hiding anything... and she doesn't have to.

On the other hand, it can be difficult for women who have uneven skin tone and/or blemish/rosacea problems. I have olive-skin tone and because of that, a few of my friends have said I look better without makeup and sometimes, I do agree with them lol.

Facial hair is another dealio altogether. :p

I'm not crazy, I just saw that bed head comment. ;)
ahh you did huh? haha. i changed it. i was worried someone would take that wrong or something LOL. but since you saw it, and you know what it said, i think its the truth and i will preach it to the heavens.

Honey, I was talkin' about female facial hair. lol :o
oh, well, i normally don't think of that one personally but, hmm. umm i know some women may have an issue with that and i don't want to be disrespectful, so all i can say is, i've never dated a girl with that much facial hair, so i don't know what that is like in terms of attraction.

;) I was under the impression that it is because it's cute? Is that a fair assumption?

I think it's cute when a guy has some unruly cowlick thing goin' on. Or like, one stray hair that's jetting out. It can be so adorable...! :D (even though guys, for the most part, hate being called 'cute')

no, not at all. i just thought someone maybe it could get turned around wrong, me a worry wart, oh screw it, bed head is wonderful, when the makeup is all gone, morning breath, and i'm being serious, its wonderful.

haha :) that's funny. makes us look kiddish right? :)

cute is not a bad word. someone once told me, actually 2 people said it, "your tattoos are beautiful" i've been called beautiful before. that's kind of cool in a way. it is so unorthodox to hear that, its like, hey, i'm a beautiful man. has some very masculine implications with it.

Yes, there is something so endearing about a man who lets his "12yr old little boy self" shine through once in a great while. Now grant it, I mean every once in awhile, not every five seconds lol. :p

Being called a beautiful man is a pretty decent thing. You're right, there are inherent masculine qualities attributed to that... I suppose it depends upon the context though, no?

haha yea, cause for guys like me, i keep my hair really short, so, i can't get the cowlick anymore :p

maybe. i can imagine that some could use that in kind of a bad way, but to me, its so unorthodox to hear it, i'd have to almost assume that when that is said to me, i'd have to take it as a compliment. plus it was told by a woman. now if a man would say it, then yea, the context issue would come up. when a woman says it, the context should be taken that she said it for good reason.
