Well normaly i agreee with there conclusions in the show, but todays (wed) i thought was off. With the car under water.

They were saying that there is 250lbs of pressure of water pushing against the window so that you cant roll it down. They had doors that were removed from carrs laying on there sides. They took some sand bags and put weights on top of those to get the 350lbs. They then tries to roll down the window via hand crank and electric to no avail.

The problem i see here is that they are now dealing with the friction of the sand bags against the door frame. I believe even a 350lb man standing on the window would have been more accurate, or if they had tried it on the real car they were submercing and let the cab preassuise, then tried to roll down the window! Then it would have been successful.

I saw that one, and I agree with you, but I did not think of that. The friction comes in only when you are trying to move the sandbags however. If you were trying to roll down the window and have the bags stay where they are, move the window not the bags, you would have to overcome the static friction of the bags. However if they were able to open the windows at all more than likely the bags would have been moving with the window, so I do not think the friction of the bags has much to do with the outcome.
