  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well I solved the mystery of the universe, Now I need to get some sleep. lol

Yes It describes reality perfectly and proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that Jesus Christ is our true and perfect Saviour. This argument can be used to prove it to the world. Satan tried, yawn, really hard to keep me from it, by making my life miserable and preventing me from finding love.

Here is from the thread where I found it in deeper fellowship:

With regard to substance abuse, it's only abuse when you need it all the time. It's okay when you do it once in a while to celebrate. Moderation is good, anything out of moderation can become bad.

That is except Love, it's the one thing we can never get enough of. Love alone is perfect onto itself when maximized. Not lust, which is derived from the false foundation, but Godly Love. Since Love is the only thing that's perfect it's no wonder they say that God is love.

God calls us the salt of the earth, salt is the union of two poisons. Love is also the union of two, the positive and the negative. However, partaking of the tree of knowledge through disobedience turned them into good and evil.

Perhaps we just need to take the EVE out of EVIL. By this theory I mean that we must discern between a negative or bitter version and an outright evil version. I'm not sure if this is going anywhere, it will require examples to tell.

Lets say some a woman hurts a man, causing him to feel pain. Evil comes if the man decides to hurt her or kill her for it. If the man would just accept the pain then what is the woman to do, but to apologize. For she knows she has acted wrongly.

The next example is Jesus himself, who taught us to turn the other cheek, and who himself went so far as to die for us. We killed Christ, each and every one of us did it, and our holy communion is that we eat his flesh and drink his blood.

Why? Because we are sinners, and we, like disobedient brides of Christ cannot be forgiven unless we repent, but it's more then that. We're not allowed to ever forget that we're sinners. We must remain humble and understand that we - creation - are always going to be negative to God who alone is positive.

Any teaching that suggests we can become equal to God or as exalted as God is a trap. We are lesser Gods, finite beings. The infinite being, God, delights us for this very reason, because we are finite and unique rather then all encompassing and everything, or else God would not bother creating us at all.

In other words, if the positive will accept the negative, then the negative will accept the positive and we will have produced the salt of the earth from amidst two poisons. Is it any wonder Christianity is considered the art of marriage? When people can't forgive one another, we instead produce the art of war.

The rest of the world is getting the wrong idea though. They oppose duality, instead of producing love from it. Sun and moon, day and night, etc. Then shall the angel of the bottomless pit appear, the blackhole, the singularity, the abyss.

Another relationship is that of government and governed. Should the government completely remove freedom from the governed then what is the point? Whether you look at his life, or his death, Jesus is ever the perfect role model. He accepts us for who we are, despite the fact that we're vile loathesome sinners.

By subverting the natural order of things chaos has been created. This drive for androgyny is an attempt to unify the sexes into a single sex. Make no mistake, the death of duality will invoke the end of the world.

I can't find it now, but there is a thelemic tree of life picture with tarot cards on it. It shows the straight and narrow path, the fool, which then becomes the lovers, and at the end becomes the universe, when we go through the house of illusion with the sun on one side and the aeon on the other.

They think they are so wise, but we, fools for God, shall be used to shame the wise just as God prefers. Apparantly nobody told them that man and woman becoming one flesh was not to be taken literally.

wow, I think I really hit the nail on the head this time. War is completely and absolutely inexcusable. God is love and life, the opposite is hate and death. So how does the whole world protest against war and rally for love?

Jesus taught us the right way on every single account. We need to stop judging one another, stop hurting one another, and be willing to accept one another. It's the only way. However, the tares, the seed of the wicked ones are among us. "The sons of God came upon the daughters of man." The fallen angels, the watchers, a race who is inherently evil and in whom is no love at all, but is reserved the lake of fire.

With regard to substance abuse, it's only abuse when you need it all the time. It's okay when you do it once in a while to celebrate. Moderation is good, anything out of moderation can become bad.

Except this is the arguement is excuse used by those who use such substances right up to the moment the debt agencies, police and social services turn up at their doors.

That is except Love, it's the one thing we can never get enough of. Love alone is perfect onto itself when maximized. Not lust, which is derived from the false foundation, but Godly Love. Since Love is the only thing that's perfect it's no wonder they say that God is love.

God is enough and therefore Gods love is enough to crave more is to mistake greed for need.

God calls us the salt of the earth, salt is the union of two poisons. Love is also the union of two, the positive and the negative. However, partaking of the tree of knowledge through disobedience turned them into good and evil.

I think you may be making random connections here.

Perhaps we just need to take the EVE out of EVIL. By this theory I mean that we must discern between a negative or bitter version and an outright evil version. I'm not sure if this is going anywhere, it will require examples to tell.

The bible tells us that evil lurks in all human hearts.

Communion is more than a simplistic rememberance it involves communication not only between ourselves and God but also with one another. It reminds us we are all no matter how different part of the body of Christ.

Any teaching that suggests we can become equal to God or as exalted as God is a trap. We are lesser Gods, finite beings. The infinite being, God, delights us for this very reason, because we are finite and unique rather then all encompassing and everything, or else God would not bother creating us at all.

We are not as gods we are created human entities , we are not dieties. God is love and for that reason God bothers with each and everyone of us.

In other words, if the positive will accept the negative, then the negative will accept the positive and we will have produced the salt of the earth from amidst two poisons. Is it any wonder Christianity is considered the art of marriage? When people can't forgive one another, we instead produce the art of war.

Christian marriage is not about cancellation its about two becomming one. The two gender aspects of Gods image working together pointing back towards God their creator.

The rest of the world is getting the wrong idea though. They oppose duality, instead of producing love from it. Sun and moon, day and night, etc. Then shall the angel of the bottomless pit appear, the blackhole, the singularity, the abyss.

Okay I admit a fallen type of entity inprisoned in a black hole did make for a very intresting Dr Who [The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit] but current philosophical thinking has moved on.

Another relationship is that of government and governed. Should the government completely remove freedom from the governed then what is the point? Whether you look at his life, or his death, Jesus is ever the perfect role model. He accepts us for who we are, despite the fact that we're vile loathesome sinners.
Tyranies can only exist as long as individual agents collude.

By subverting the natural order of things chaos has been created. This drive for androgyny is an attempt to unify the sexes into a single sex. Make no mistake, the death of duality will invoke the end of the world.
Given how human sexuality has a bad habit of trying anything and everything this is yet another example of human nature.

I can't find it now, but there is a thelemic tree of life picture with tarot cards on it. It shows the straight and narrow path, the fool, which then becomes the lovers, and at the end becomes the universe, when we go through the house of illusion with the sun on one side and the aeon on the other.
I think you may have seen tarot cards laid out in a tree of life layout based on the kabbalah. This is not something to transfer into understanding scripture- honest.

The biggest error of western occult philosophy is its twisted use of scripture.

The 'watchers' are also an extra biblical concept. The bible mentions watchmen on the walls who look out to protect the city Isaiah 62:6 as an example. In the context of scripture watchmen are humans serving God.

There are some whom the argument would save.

Jesus "have I not said ye are all as Gods." Therefore yes we are GODS, but clearly lesser Gods.

Well I was pretty tired when I was coming up with it.

Still, what do you think about the opposites in life: man and woman, night and day, sun and moon, waking and dreaming. If you think about enough of them it's tempting to see reality as binary, but I suppose it's clearly far more then that.

These are not opposites rather they are complementries.

Sadly whilst most people are born as clearly male and clearly female there are some born as hermaphrodites. Sex may be clear but gender can become cloudy. Yet somehow when man and woman through marriage work and walk together in real friendship, respect, support and love for one another we can catch a glimpse of God. Binaries pull at each other in their efforts to break apart and this is not marriage as described in the bible.

God created and placed the sun and moon as well as all the stars in heaven in place. Night and day were created for our benefit; when we do not turn night into day we allow ourselves to rest and set a healthy pace to our lives. They flow one into another as this little mudball rotates around the star God put in place.

If you have bi-polar or similar then that can create some real problems in life. Stress can aggrivate any underlying problem. Those who lack support can become most at risk of injury and harm to themselves. As others have said is there support near where you live? Often the church can be the first point of contact for someone who struggles.

Sacerdote is one of the T team on this forum who works as a hospital chaplain - he has not always been a christian in his life either so it might be worth looking him up on here.

Complementaries, I like that.

I have, in my mind, always been fighting the good fight. Because I would love and understand God, but did not submit as I should he therefore punished me, and rightly so.

Conformity is good, when it's about conforming to Christ's perfect ways. I have been trying to follow up and getting all mixed up in my head. Very soon after my father died I had burned my bible in anger. I later repented but I was dwelling in sorrow, for lo my family was destroyed and it was done because of a sickness I brought home.

I've been living in the past and future ever since, trying to find answers, but all I really did was run from things I didn't want to face. There is evidence of the lords love, but his warnings and punishments are severe. This has been an unproductive life for the most part, I'm thankful that the fruits of the spirit are divine qualities.

It is said faith without works is dead, now that I have given myself completely I desire to do works. Of course it is not by works we are saved.

God is a good parent; discipline and disciple comes from the latin word 'to teach'. To discipline a child is not about punishment its is about teaching a child there are consequences for actions. It is not punative its aim is to encourage to build up to give the tools needed for a healthy life. God disciplines us rather than punishes but God will also set bounderies in place for our sakes just as any good human parent would and like any good parent what God is looking for is evidence of us having learnt of relaising what we did was daft, wrong and dangerous for our own sakes.

Your father died in tragic circumstances leaving you with lots of questions, pain and guilt. That would be hard for a mature adult to cope with never mind a 15 year old lad. God will understand the pain you felt when you burnt that bible as a reaction to everything you felt inside; do not forget God watched us nail Gods beloved Son onto the cross. Your allowed to grieve for those you have loved and who have died. Christ grieved for Lazerous and wept.

Families are complex and sometimes frustrating things. Its about loving someone on one hand and wanting to give them a hug and on the other getting so frustrated and angry that at times hugging someone around the neck looks good. [Bit like Bart and Homer Simpson an imperfect father and son who constantly misunderstand each other but still love one another] There is perhaps a good reason that the Church uses the language of family- God knows what families can be like as well as what they could be like.

God warns and calls but God does not quench a flickering flame nor does God break a bruised reed. That is not Gods way but it is often mans.

The reason I stopped studying and exploring magick was not from fear of hell or terror of a God with a big stick it was from the realisation that God through Christ really is the better way.

Having to start from the bottom learning about Christ was the tough bit as there are so few people out there who have left such paths for Christ- it hurts like heck, rubs like crazy as God moulds anew but it is worth it in the end.

Absolutely. Christ has us facing reality, not putting our faith in myths and fables.

Shall the ground that clips it's weeds and finally accepts the rain of the Holy Spirit's tears, not be tilled?

Well today was interesting. It started with my going to church and hearing a sermon about seizing the day, not living in the past and future. There was a sense that God wanted me to forgive myself and move on, but somehow all I could think of were the bad things about Solomon and I became sad. I did not make any visible appearances of it yet there was a woman who came to comfort me and we had a good conversation.

Then somehow I went home, cried, and started to feel unforgiven again. I had to do some exhaustive studies on scripture, satan tried to convince me I had become a worthless apostate, but I feel a strange sense of serenity and renewal now. I was to be God's from the beginning. Somehow that was taken away from me, but I can see now the little voice that's been trying to get me back all this time. Thanks for sharing some of your story. Your last sentence almost brings me to tears, but I've done enough crying for one day.

For the first time since they died I'm really starting to connect with people. Nothing brings people together quite like Jesus, and through him nothing is impossible.
