Anyone here ever heard or performed in the Mystery Plays?

have you been asked to do one yourself?? i havnt a clue what they are, unless they are plays that you sign up for and it is improvisation for the performance??

they are the bible stories put into theatre done every 5 years, i dont think you would have heard of them because the only ones in Britain are in York and Chester but they are rly good. in the 2003 cycle we did the stories of Creation, Fall, Abraham and isaac, Noah, Nativity, Majii and killing of the innocence, Jesus being Baptised, the woman taken in adultery, jesus in the temple, judas's betrayal, garden of gethsemane, Jesus being arrested, Crusifixion, Resurrection, and the Last Judgement

yep, was a long play, about 3 hours and lasted 3 weeks, was pretty cool to be perfectly honest

every night for three weeks?? did u draw a large crowd?

yeah, must have been a few thousand after a while.

Most plays are 3 hours arent they. 2 hours, then an interval then the last hour is the rest of the play.

The scipt was kinda confusin, cus it was a musical so it had songs all entwined in it so they took a bit of time. Was a pretty big script though. It was all in verse aswell so that made it pretty big. It was an old script from medeval times. Was kinda sad when it ended cus i had been doinit for a year and it all suddenly stopped. But i got a dvd of it so i can watch it wheneva so tahts cool too

lol, fortunately all mine was pretty understandable. The rhyming made it sound all funny. There were a few lines in it, like "Man i must have that Ass!" Hard to keep a strait face when they said that!! fortunately i was off stage

LOL! was J-lo on stage at the time??
