Hello!

I wrote a short introduction in the Recovery>Mental health>Schizophrenia forum. Also I have Asperger's Syndrom, that seem to explain why my life has been so hard on me from the beginning - you inherit that. :-(

I have the command from the Lord to witness (I do that for the people with schizophrenia and the like). But I have yet to see any advances.

But five years with the Baptists worked incredibly enough, I can take one day at a time. Nowadays, five years after. Because my second name is John (in Swedish), which means "The Lord was gracious". Yes! <3

I am interested in keeping a low profile here, I do not even read the Bible right now. Because I live in a place with crashed people - in a mysterious situation.

I am not looking for friendship - it's past that stage for me. I love the brothers, but I think life outside church makes you a bit too tired.

The Lord is with me, it is far too chaotic to describe. But God reigns!

Thanks for being a resource!

Welcome. I believe mental health issues can help us learn to find strength and love in the Lord. Some Christians who have head knowledge without any heart may be judgmental but its because they don't know any better.

I believe in hoping in the Lord no matter what we struggle with, and I believe in simplicity as well. I think most theology is useless and only good for distracting us from the narrow path. I don't believe we need apostles, teachers or prophets, except those recorded in scripture. Simplicity is key, its about love, faith and hope. Love God and man, put hope in Christ, and walk by faith not sight, by looking toward heaven instead of earthly things

Thanks for your answer!

I think I have the intelligent Asperger's hard fight to find your empathy for all things. So I forget all suffering, or at least do not feel it in my heart so strongly. I just fight the demons.

I believe in my calling, also note how few commands the young man kept. Be a good person!

I think Bible passages that guide you are all you need. Systematic Theology I gave away - have no time for that.

I am probably pretty ordinary in my concepts - I believe we all are used by the Lord in different ways.

And you are right about basics - just now I am saved by Hope. :) <3 !!

Yes, I have had the blessing of having hard years with the Spirit and following a hard path of illness phenomena. And yet, been forgiven and given much.

I must write one more comment:

If you get cancer and die from it, you may die unprepared for the Lord Jesus - just think of Revelation!

But if you live with mental illness and your faith for 30 years, one nice effect is that gratitude for many things emerges. That type of life also kept me from finding a girl - I could never have endured a normal working life, with responsiblity and all.

But I've been protected from suffering the stigmata of psychic illness, mostly, thanks Lord! <3:ebil:

My battle has been hard. I have been judged by "word of faith" followers, but its been a blessing regardless.

I am sorry to hear that. I was probably also judged before I got ill with inner voices, but I think I was predestined, because I received the grace of now having coped with it 30 years or so.

It has been like this - when I after I "got Saved" I said yes to Jesus and God by getting confirmed. But the female priest mentioned:

Isa. 14:12: How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!

I think the misunderstanding was that I thought I had done a military thing as a programmer.

YW :). A daily Bible reading and prayer life can be a wonderful blessing. Philippians has themes of joy, prayerfulness and thankfulness, especially in chapter 4.
