  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Radidio! Hello!
You changed since we talked last.
I like your CF character!
Diana
Hi Diana

I'm not sure if my CF character is showing. My signature has the Luther Rose now and my avatar is me! Can you imagine that :)

I missed talking to old friends here. Been traveling so much and when I'm home I'm down at Habitat for Humanity working at the "Restore".

I just got back Sunday night from touring the west and north west. Seashoring and mountaining and just being amazed at God's creation.
The RV developed a small leak in the [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]. If it wasn't for that I would still be out there. Even though I was enjoying the trip I also didn't want to come back. Too many memories in my empty cabin.

The most magnificent ride was on Hwy 20 in Washington through the
Cascades. The rugged ice capped mountains coupled with the ice blue
lakes were just wonders of God. I have some rolls of film and I need to
get those developed. Want to see how they turned out. Mt Ranier just
shot out of the earth to amazing heights. Mt Shasta appears the same
way. All of a sudden there it is. Like it was put there just to impress.

Massively sitting there by itself with no support from other mountains.
Mt.Fujiamaesque.........is that a word? :)

Temps were even high in the altitudes. 80's-90's even at 6-8 thousand
ft.

The longest seashore in the world is in WA but I bypassed the rugged
Oregon coast which I appreciate more. Never really got to camp on the
seashore because they don't allow it but I was always withing a short
walking/hearing distance. Keep looking through the real estate ads
hoping I'd find some hidden. inexpensive jewel . They're few and far
between. Mostly trailers in retirement parks.

Hello, CFW!

Your post reminded me of our trip to Oregon last summer. I had never been to the Northwest before. What a beautiful area!

Even from the plane bove Oregon, we could see Mt. Rainier in Washington state, lofty in its dominion. It was amazing.

I admit, I didn't want to leave the area, either. It wasn't just the beauty of the region I liked, it was the people as well. Friendly, independent, "go-getter" types--very easy to get along with.

And the seashore was amazing.

Glad that you are back and had a fantastic time. Does one get a jet lag from much travelling in RV?
Who did you travel with? And rolls of film? You and my DH I believe are the only people who use that media. My son switched me to digital.
I am glad that you had a great time. You look well.

Now John, you know you have an invitation to come see us here in England. We are so looking forward to our next trip and seeing you and all our other friends across the pond and who knows, we may even have a go at exploring Canada...:D :D :D
I have a friend flying in from Maui HA in October so I just might look into seeing ya'll anytime after that. Virgin Air seems to be the source for travel. Still only in the dream stage though.

I had some acquaintances ship there Rialta RV over to Europe in July and they are still there. Should be back sometime this month. Didn't even ask them how much it cost to ship.

I travel by myself. My wife left in Oct of last year and never told me why. Soooooo...................anyway I use my old Ricoh KR-10. It has interchangeble lenses, telescopic, regular and fisheye. Just a camera that I've had for some 20+ years and very reliable. I also have a samll video/still cam that double as a PC cam and MPEG 3-4 player which I don't use much.

Hey ... I think we seem to be getting toe-tally off topic here. Remember Jim's toe...LOL:D

True, true. Here we are talking about traveling instead of Jim's poor, poor toe.

But since Jim doesn't even know which toe was hurting anymore, I'm sure he won't mind too much if we travel a bit...even off toe-pic, lol.

I think one of the best potaTOE salads I've had was with BBQ pig snoots back in the late sixties.

I was a collection agent and had the "projects" as my area and I would stop at this BBQ place and order my "sandwich" at the window. I'd get this humongous package with creamy potatoe salad on top of BBQ "snoots" between two slices of bread------yum

'Course I like german and mustard 'tater salad to. :)
