no Jim, I wouldn't advise dropping the stone again ... just so long as all your toes are fine, that is the main thing ?Which toe are you referring to? I am toe-tally out of the picture on this one. I can't even find the stone now. I could drop the stone again and learn which toe it struck.
Cheers,
Jim
Thank you Jim for this teaching today.. it is a good word.. *smile*The toe thread was intended to distract our attention to egocentric health disorders and tickle the humour in us all. I think it succeeded, and I praise you all for your participation.
The toe is a vital part of our physical structure. Without our toes, we experience great difficulty in balance. A damaged toe demonstrates this quite well. Let us now think of our wellness in relation to our toe. We rise in the morning and say instantly, Good morning, Toe. I rise and fall based on your health, and I wish you well. When one experiences a headache, one can soon be distracted from that upper inconvenience by simply dropping a stone on one's toe. Try it, you may like it. Look at the attention we will get, and it isn't even a remotely fatal malady. Is this suggesting there is slightly more intelligence in our remote parts than lies in that upper shell we call a brain?
When I was in seminary, we had a class called homiletics; the art of preaching. In this class we would draw a word, such as "milk", be given two minutes to prepare and then preach on that word. I never did draw the word "toe", but thinking back, I might have found extreme delight in that word. The important aspect of these classes was that we learned to think on our feet. Again, I draw your attention to the importance of the toes. Stand in the pulpit and think how much we use our toes. You lean forward with pointing fingers, but it is really the toes which gives one the required thrust to drive home the essence of one's message.
So, next time you speak, with some importance, think about your toes, and the vital part they play in the delivery of your message.
Cheers,
Jim, toe-tally in awe of your particpation in this thread of toe-tal aggrandization of your human physical existence.
Wow---I haven't been around here for quite awhile but it's like deja vue.I know my toe has healed, but I didn't think I got enough sympathy for it. Please post urgently.
Cheers,
Jim
