But if you don't believe Humpty Dumpty was real, you'd be an idiot for trying to explain him using reality.
Is that what Harvard looks like to you?

The cosmic evolution model of the universe consists of seven progressive steps, from the Big Bang to today.

Here is Harvard's interpretation of the seven progressive steps:
  1. Particulate
  2. Galactic
  3. Stellar
  4. Planetary
  5. Chemical
  6. Biological
  7. Cultural
Put each act of creation in Genesis 1, from the earth on the first day to Eve on the sixth day, into their corresponding progressive steps.
Here's a harder challenge: post something -- anything at all -- that would give me reason to doubt the basic validity of evolution as a description of the history of life. (Oh, and that's not Harvard's interpretation: it's the interpretation of one guy at Harvard.)

You won't take this challenge; and you want me to post a harder one?

And Harvard has disclaimers all over the place, don't they? or do they care what's on their servers?

And for the record, that man stands alone in his interpretation, does he?

No, I don't want you to post a harder challenge. I want you to post a relevant challenge.

Why would they have disclaimers? Unless it's something that makes them legally liable, no, they don't care what faculty members put on their web pages.

Humpty Dumpty was actually about Israel's King David. It tells of his fall from grace when he committed adultry with her after seeing her from on his rooftop.

There's nothing wrong with the 7-stage view from Harvard, but it's less about cosmic evolution per se, and more about the evolution of complexity (hence its title), which makes it rather anthropocentric in the latter stages.

I can see why you might find it an appealing perspective ;)

Thank you.

I know you disagree with it, but at least you're willing to respect it enough to understand where I'm coming from; instead of trying to fight against it and looking like ... well ... like others are.

Wait... what is it you think I disagree with?

Might as well sort them alphabetically or by how friendly they sound.
Actually I have a thread similar to this one, in which Frumious Bandersnatch answered quite nicely HERE.

Kinda makes you guys reluctance to answer this challenge sad, doesn't it?

Coo, a different Frumious Bandersnatch - if I'd have known that when I registered I'd have chosen something different... I'm surprised the forums allow duplicate member names.
