  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi, I'm new to this site and would like to share my testimonial with all of you.

I actually went to church regulary at the age of 13. I found life in church to be rather fascinating, with all the praise and worship, the preaching and cell groups. However, I never really got to know who Christ was and what he is to me.

I left that church after a few years, having lost heart. For two years, my life was at its lowest. I dropped out of school, mixed with less than desirable company and stuff like that. I had lost myself. Who I am, what my purpose was in life.

That went on until one day, when my mother cajoled me into going to church with her. This church was very near our place, and she wanted me to accompany her. I refused to at first but after a few weeks, I gave in.

It was surprising, to say the least. I realised that there were people that genuinely cared for me. I was invited to their church camp that following year and I went. It was there in my hotel room that we had a worship session. It was there that Jesus touched me. I realised that Jesus had never let go of my hand. It was I who let go. On that day, I cried like I never did before. I was born again, and accepted Christ into my life as my lord and saviour.

It has been a few years since then. I am now baptised and serving actively in church. Once again, I would like to just thank God for everything.
