Interesting take on the subject, Mygisfy. I like the haircut; I like the video message and presentation. I might be a little iffy on the verbal marketing strategy you employ, but I have to admit that in watching it, I feel confirmed in my more recent inner convictions that I need to do a little bit "more dying" to myself in order to be the Christian I need to be, and to be the husband that the Lord truly meant for me to be, as well.
Thanks for the interesting "video reminder," young man. (I have say young man, now, because I woke up, looked in the mirror and found that something strange has happened to my appearance. Age.)
Blessings,

Hello and welcome to CF, and may I say, nicely done!
I am happy to see that you seem to "get it" and that's awesome! I hope others will hear you and follow your example.
You might be interested to know that you really struck a chord. Suicide may be more the thought of the times, which is very sad. But the Orthodox Church (which is very ancient!) has long regarded marriage in terms of martyrdom - dying to self for the sake of Christ. (There are sermons from about 1,600 years ago on this very subject.)
Interestingly enough, it is not only the husband that we regard as being called to do so, though you quoted those Scriptures for husbands. But likewise, wives also ... we both put the needs of the other first, sacrifice our own wills, and help one another in our Christian faith, especially, and as partners in life.
Keep up the good work!
Ima subscribeThanks much! Just trying to make use of this short life.
I completely agree with this.Interestingly enough, it is not only the husband that we regard as being called to do so, though you quoted those Scriptures for husbands.
