update:

he had his trial the other day. some of the evidence was tossd out by the judge due to the arresting officer lied in his report and on the stand (he is on admin leave right now btw - should have been fired and prosecuted).

my son was found guilty of possession (personal useage) and probation violation.

his sentencing is 6 Jun. the DA is still wanting 8 yrs. the lawyer is pushing for 1 to 2.

please remember my son in your prayers.
thank you.

latest (and last??) update:

He had his sentencing yesterday. I got home from work sitting on opins and needles as it were waiting for the call from my mom to let me know how bad it is.

well, for whatever reason, whatever logic, whatever purpose - the judge reversed his original stance about prison and sentenced my son to another 180 days jail plus 3 yrs probation.

I think the judge agreed to this instead of prison as my son wrote a sincere letter saying how he is tired of missing life due to being in and out of the system since age 16. Plus, after completing jail, he will have hois probaiton transferred out of state to my mom's house and I think that is what the judge keyed on - this bad boy will be leaving the county for good and no longer their problem!

he called me thru a 3 way late last night and we talked for about 10 minutes until he had to return to his cell. told him I am pleased, surprised but pleased BUT.....

this is about teh 3rd time now a judge has reversed himself at the last minute and that Aaron should accept this as his last chance to do good. the next time wont be any mercy I am sure with the courts.

so, I do thank all who have prayed and had my boy in their thoughts. I thank each and every one of you. it means something to me.

now, its up to him and time.

I have to believe that the Judge changed his ruling because of prayer.

I pray that your son will realize that he has been given the gift of another chance and will truly change his ways and be able to have a productive life and stay out of trouble. Through God all things are possible.

justanobserver, may you also know God's peace in your life and in this matter.
