  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey there folks, it's been a while sense my last post.  Hope everyone is doing ok.  I'm doing real well, but my post today is not for me, it's for my sister.

Lately I think she has gone down hill.  She's 18, and I understand how 18 can be, but you see she has these friends, one of them, well they have been friends for a long time, and they just do all sorts of bad stuff together.  She has been stoned almost every day, and she helps her friend sell drugs.  I don't want my sister to become ruined because she did too much pot when she was young.  I've seen it happen to other folks, and it's a bad thing.  I really hope that God can bring some good influences into her life, and help her find better things to spend her time and money on than drugs and alcahol.  I try to talk to her about it, but she's very stuborn with an explosive temper, and most of what I say is just shrugged off.  I pray God can give me the right words to effect her.

Anyhow I'm sure yer prayers will help too,

thanks,

Benjamin Jeanotte
