My Sin Nature

Today I was praying to Jesus and was hurt at what I had endured during my torture. Jesus let me know that it was the sin nature of the people who hurt me. I was reminded of my own sin nature. I was grateful that Jesus has saved me from my own sin nature. I know that I am naturally sinful and I am glad to have Jesus to save me from my sins. I sometimes struggle with comparing myself and coveting but Jesus saves me from these sins and helps me to know I am safe and beautiful in him.

I think we all struggle with coveting at some point. I keep telling myself to not covet. The Lord makes sure i remember.

Jesus endured much more than most people ever will at the hands of others, yet at the end he prayed to the Father to forgive them for they knew not what they were doing. In 1 Corinthians 2:8, it says that none of the rulers of this age understood what they were doing, for if they had, then they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. In the same way, the people who harmed you did not know what they were doing, for if they knew how precious you are, then they would have never done it to you, and because they did not know what they were doing you are able to likewise pray for God to forgive them.
