  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I suggest you visit the Channeled Scablands in Oregon and Washington states sometime. Not only are they a perfect example of what the results of large scale, catastrophic flooding actually look like, but it's also a very beautiful natural wonder. So you can appreciate it even if you don't learn anything.
I think those are called "local floods," aren't they?

Either that, or you have a page or three missing from your Bible.

 I just had a read through the old Flood myth this morning, I didn't see anything about cleaning up sludge, dead animals etc.

Maybe your bible has an extra page or two.

Do you have anything that makes him trustworrhy, or did you make <gasp> another unsupportable assertion?
I'm not gonna dignify this with a response.

Did you miss this?

Genesis 8:11a And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off:

How did that happen?

Even a local flood can't explain that.

I know, it's literally unbelievable, but...

what have magically fast growing olive trees got to do with this "clean up" of debris you seem to have made up?
