  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My Knights Rosary Did, I think in all I lost 6 or 8 beds and the chaing broke in 3 places before it became unusable last week.

What you can do next is '
Keep using till it gives its complete life like I did
Get a new one and place this one on a stature or amongst your religious items
Get a new one and give this one a solom bural

No I mean my rosary has beads with metal rungs that go through them and one of them cracked right down the middle and is now two hemispheres of a bead. I don't think I could possible glue it back together so I'd have to spend time looking for another bead that looks just like it. I planned on getting another one tomorrow for like 5 dollars but what do I do with this one we are supposed to bury them right?

One iof my rosaries is a string rosary. I got it at a state fair from a Catholic Diocees' booth. I've used it so much in only a couple of months that it's coming apart. The beads on the 1st and 5th decade don't line up. The knots that keep the beads in position are coming apart, so the first pater noster bead moves from the 3 Ave beads to the crucifix. Another decade is sliding as well.

It's quite possilble that a bead that matches the ones of your Rosary can be obtained and if you have someone in your parish that makes Rosaries, perhaps they could simply replace the bead for you. (Sometimes some Catholic gift shops do it as well). Some people choose to do it themselves--all you really need is some small sized needle-nose pliers--if you're very careful with the wire. (I've inherited some Rosaries that look as if one of my ancestors either fixed their Rosary or simply allowed the bare wire to remain to show that there once was a bead there.)

I think that I will continue to use it until it become impossible. but I'm goona keep the various peaces that fall off so that when I do finally have to retire it I can just burry it all together. and I'll keep an eye out for the bead.
