I created this "quick reference" 4x6" card to carry with me and help remind me what being a Christian is about. It is not original, I'm sure you'll recognize some of my sources (including ChristianForums). I doubt that it is complete. But I thought I would share it in case it helped someone else. If you don't like it, please ignore it.
Primary:
Trust God, commit to His way as best in the long run.
Focus on a change in my attitudes, not my actions.
Ask God to help me know the right action to take, if any.
Go to God first with problems, don't let them get out of hand.
Remember that God works on His schedule, not mine.
Have pity on others, as Christ has pity on me.
Review each day and thank God for specific blessings.
Be a student of God's way, and keep a journal.
While reading Christ’s parables put yourself in the role
of the person who needs to change.
Pray the Our Father meditatively.
Secondary:
Be patient, kind and generous.
Be quick to listen and smile, slow to speak.
Take one day at a time.
Eat properly, get exercise, early to bed and rise.
Value good friends, and be a team player.
Take my work seriously, but not myself!
Don't forget to laugh!
Spend some time alone each day.
Simplify my life and accept worthwhile projects.
Manage my time and money as if it were God's (it is).
Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you keep obeying my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32
