My poem

This poem is being submitted into a competition...tell me what you think of it

Many times I saw His love;
Many times I felt it.
So many times He called to me,
But I in my sin left it.​

He tried to give me one more chance;
He prodded me that day.
Until He said, "Well that's enough,
She sees nothing my way."​

His caring arms of grace and peace
Took me far away.
To heaven's doors He carried me,
But I wanted to stay.​

"Dear Lord, I'm sorry, I was wrong.
These people I've neglected--
Their souls I left for Satan's pow'r,
Unsaved and unprotected.​

I should've given it my all.
I should've shown them you,
But I was wrong and You were ritght;
I just don't deserve You."​

I hung my head in bitter shame,
On me He did depend.
He cared for me, He saved my soul,
But I just failed my Friend.​

This I tell you now my friend,
Listen to the Lord.
Your heavenly journey could come now
And you'll miss a reward.​

So don't delay to follow Him,
And you will find out why.
You'll find His joy to be more sweet
When you meet Him in the sky.
