My Poem, comments please

[Crazy4Christ]

A thousand hooves may strike me,
A hundred bees may sting me,
A whole crowd may scare me,
But your love is so true and so trusting Lord,
These things do not come between,
For the love you have shown us,
Is far too great for small things to hinder...

well, i personally love any poetry that i don't write i'm just not good with words. i loved your poem. one question, was it supposed to rhyme or is it just a prose sort of thing?

Crazy4Christ, You have done a good job here with your imagery, but especially your message, that nothing is going to come between you and your Lord. For those that love poetry, it does not necessarily have to rhyme, this is a free verse poem. What makes it different from prose? It is the imagery, the ability to get a message across in a few lines. Believe it or not, free verse it often harder to do than rhyming, because if you are not careful it becomes prose. You did a good job with this. Dee

Great imagery! I could feel a dark battle going on and the brilliant victory at the end! The pounding, the pain, the roar of the angry crowd, all faced and overcome in the quest to be with your Lord! Cool!
