  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm going to write a play too (I think) It's still in its very early stages, It's probably going to be called Damatris , you can read briefly her story in the book of Acts she was a philosopher in Athens until Paul came through, then she left and followed him, the cool thing is that they had built an alter in Athens to "the un-known God" I am going to play it like she was always drawn to this alter, it will be very philosophical and will delve deeply into the human psyche.

Hey :) this is an exerpt from a monoluge delivered by Damaris to herself while looking at her refelction....it is VERY rough as there is no stage directions or even alot of editing...it is only a random section of the play...but any constructive criticism would be Great! thanks.

I see my-self.
And in the clear, still pool,
My body is strong, the skin on my face seems to hold
an un-deniable proof of my existence
An agonizing paradox when held against the translucency
of my soul.

My broad shoulders, my steady hands.....LIARS!
Why do you not appear, disfigured, and maimed!

Why does the skin not hang off the frame of my hands in ghastly shreds!
Why do my shoulders not sag grotesquely twisted and sallow!

It is as though you mock my pain...telling me that all I feel is a lie,
Your beautiful configurations Arguing viciously against my inward agony

Why do you not show the signs of my Death!

(raises knife as though to cut away at her flesh, then
slowly lowers it again.)

And yet I submit my-self to your Authority, For the sake of my existence
I too will believe your lies...(smiles)... So lie well.

here is the prelude of my play.:

Popularity for the Anonymous.

A play on…something.

By: ME.

Prelude:

(sad music plays, the sound of a woman sobbing…

JOYCE enters from UR, sobbing.)

JOYCE: Oh! Why?! Why me?

(Sound of laughter comes from LS…JOHN enters UL, slapping knee, chuckling. Both JOYCE and JOHN cross to CS. They each go quiet. Then-)

(both, in unison): Oh! Am I doing it wrong?

(JOHN falls to his knees, and begins to cry. JOYCE slaps hip, leans back, and lets out a loud guffaw, and begins giggling uncontrollably.)

JOYCE: (stops, JOHN too, stops crying) Oh! Who are you?

JOHN: I was about to ask the same thing Miss.

JOYCE: (snaps fingers) oh! You must be-

JOHN: the name is John.

JOYCE: As I Presumed.

JOHN: Huh?

JOYCE: shall we began?

JOHN: most certainly…

JOYCE: here we go…lets start where we are together. The first scene.

JOHN: good enough.

(They both sit on bench, which is SR.)

SHERRY: John, we need to talk…its…it’s about
