Praise the lord everyone! My name is Haley Taylor and I am from Newfoundland Canada. I found this website searching for other Christians to share the gospel with and hopefully meet new people with the same passion I have for Christ. In an online world many people are using it to their advantage so I figured why not use the internet for something positive and take advantage of it in a good way to uplift Jesus. I would love to hear from new people, so feel free to share your personal testimony.
I am currently 21 years old and I became a born again Christian at the age of 18. I have a grandfather as a pastor who is a very unique on fire Holy Ghost pastor, but because we didn't live close together I didn't have that daily exposure to Godly people. My parents were not living a Christ filled life at the time, but thank God for praying grandparents who never gave up on me. Growing up I knew about the idea of God that he existed and I did believe he created the heavens and the earth, but that was pretty much the extent of my knowledge. I never knew about salvation or what it took to have eternal life. I didn't understand the depth of who or what Jesus was until after I finished highschool. After I finished highschool I decided to move closer to my Dads side of the family (my Godly grandparents and other relatives) to help out with things there, but I was still a sinner. It wasn't until I started spending time with them daily that I began learning more and more about salvation. After attending my grandfathers church for a couple months after I moved closer to them, I began to realize that we are all sinners that can only be completely washed and cleansed by the blood of Jesus. I went to church multiple times as a young girl, but never felt that something was missing. I realized That he died on a cross to reconcile us to God and his kingdom. I first had to realize I was a sinner to believe that I needed to be saved from sin. So once that light came into my blinded eyes everything started to make sense, and I couldn't continue my life without having Jesus in it. One sunday our church visited a seniors home to read the bible and sing some songs and it was on that day November 5, 2017 that I decided to surrender my life to Jesus and it was the happiest moment of my life and I instantly felt Gods peace.
After getting saved I went on to be filled more and more by Gods gifts once I realized there was more to seek for. I went on to be baptized in water because I wanted to follow the example of Jesus. I actually got baptized in water in North Carolina while we were visiting a church down there. Many members of our church are filled with the Holy Ghost and speak in tongues, so I wanted to have it to. Its a gift that Jesus gave to us when he ascended unto heaven known as his "comforter" and he wanted us to have power in our lives. So I began fasting and praying for it for a couple years and in 2019 one church service our pastor laid hands on me and prayed for me and I began to feel this mighty rushing wind that they spoke of in Acts on the day of pentecost. The Holy Ghost took complete control over my body and I began to speak in a language that I never learned that can only be given by Jesus himself a true heavenly language that is unique to each person. To anyone seeking for the Holy Ghost or to those who don't know about it yet, I encourage you to study the word and really take hold of it because you will never be the same afterwards it will abide with you forever to give you comfort and power. Jesus wants you to have the gifts and be completely filled in your life.
Not too long ago I felt inspired by God to send letters of my personal testimony to random people in different parts of the world using a unique method to try and reach people with the gospel. I figured why not try for Jesus and maybe someone will read those letters and feel inspired to learn more about salvation.
