• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I feel like my parents never gave me a chance... They aren't involved with the church and I'm not even baptized. I consider myself to be very religious, but how can I fulfil my duties to God if i don't go to church? I don't know what to do... I know you are going to tell me to go to church on my own, but I live in a small town, and people would question my intentions and I'd feel embarassed... Please help... I'm so confused...

There is a lot more to faith than church. Church is kind of like headquarters, and a place of fellowship, and fellowship is good. You need that. But as far as serving God goes, I find that church is the least productive place for me to do so. There's a whole world out there dying.

My parents ain't Christians too and not even until now. I had been a Christian for seven years now. At the very initial stage, both my parents go against my faith badly and no one agree me attending church, cell group meetings, etc. Each time that happens, my parents will scold me and never talk to me for a long time. I :prayer: to ask God to make a way for me in my home. Lately, they are accepting me as a Christian and I'm no longer asked to worship any idols.
