People have claimed to be speaking on God's behalf when they've said things, and other people who have also claimed to be speaking on God's behalf have said those first people were wrong.

The "I'm speaking on God's behalf" thing would be a lot more convincing if everyone who claimed to be speaking on God's behalf all said the same thing.

But they don't.

It sure comes across that way. Many times have you embraced a line of reasoning when it supports your position, yet when the same reason can be used against your position, you ignore it. Surely the validity comes from the strength of the reasoning, not what position it supports, yes?
