  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Okay, I have another project for my Chaucer class.
I think this one should be a bit easier.

I am going to write a paper examining the saints that are mentioned and dealt with in the Canterbury Tales.

So, if anyone has any good web sites, on-line journals, or books they would recommend that talk about various saints, let me know what they are! :)

Thanks a bunch!!!

Normally, I would. :) In the majority of papers I've written over the past 3 years, I've gone to the internet for all of my research.

But we have a restriction. We can only use 3 web sites as sources (unless we use on-line journals...they won't count towards our limit of 3 sites).

Which is why I asked for web site suggestions, so I know what ones are good and choose to use those over ones that may appear to be good, but really aren't.

And also why I asked for books...because I will have to spend some time in a library or 2 looking at books as opposed to just finding web sites.

I probably should've mentioned that so you all don't think I'm trying to use you for my research. *giggles* :)

Love in Christ,

. . . go to the public library. Most will have access to a site called 'electric library' or something similar. These are online links to magazine articles, etc.

At my public library, the 'electric library' articles can be e-mailed to your address for later use and abuse.
