A good provider is not always a good husband / when we got married we were both working part-time & moved to an apartment - money was tight, but we were content - full-time work & health coverage came the next year, and when we were not expecting it God blessed us with a house and a child
Also you don't want to be with someone that will extinguish that fire for ministry you have. God must always be first in your life. If Shawn is saved and he admits to being a jerk, then he should re-evaluate his salvation and the example he is setting to those around him.
You are to honor your parents, but do not go against what the Holy Spirit is telling you. Continue to pray about it and wait on the Lord.
