• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Sweetie, neither you nor I can know where she went/will go while we're still on Earth. Only God knows this for sure. It can be very dangerous and heartwrenching to make presumptions about the salvation of others.

In the meantime, I'll be praying for the repose of your mother's soul. Remember, God's timing is different from ours, so, maybe He hasn't even judged her soul yet.

Hang in there, dear. And feel free to talk to me if you need someone.

Oh Sweetie,
I wish I knew what to say to you. I can only tell you that G~D loves you very much and He knows how much pain you are in right now. I just lost my Mom too. She was 76 and we were best friends. The loss seems unbearable at times, but remember Who knows your heart and catches each tear that falls and saves them in a jar. His love is unending and His mercy and compassion will wrap around you like a warm wooley blanket.

I'm praying for you and I'm here for you!

Oh, sweetie, I am so sorry you lost your mom. I remember when my dad died, I was 19, and I don't think he knew the Lord either. God will heal you, and comfort you. Go ahead and cry, and let Jesus hold you in His loving arms. He will take care of you.

Hugs,
Trish

So sorry to hear this.....and it's so hard when one is so young. I lost both of my parents 2001. Difficult to get over, and harder when you do not believe they were saved. Fortunately, my dad accepted about a week or so before he passed, he had even stopped swearing and everything! It was a complete change of heart. Never thought I'd see it.

Do not think your mom was not saved, because it can happen quickly, it only takes a matter of a few seconds! Perhaps she did this, even in the moments before she passed. It can happen, and does quite often.

Loosing a loved one is never easy, and a mother is one of the hardest of all. Having lost my father some years ago and my mother a couple of weeks ago, I know how hard it can be. All I can say is cheerish the memories and if you can hold onto a few things that were hers, even if you can't bear the sight of them now there will come a time when you will be very glad to have something of hers. Remember her and there will always be a part of her with you.

*hugs* My sincere Condoleances for the los of your mother.

If i may encourage you..

Many religious people make the mistake of assuming that atheism is a one-way ticket to hell. The fact is that God cares very little about a person's religion or non-religion as revealed by some Near Death Experiences. The only thing that really matters is the spiritual condition of the heart. Experience tells that when an atheist tells me they don't believe in God, they really mean they don't believe in the Christian God or any God from any religion. From the NDE perspective, I can agree with this. Many atheists reject a spirit world for one reason or another and they generally do so because they have a strict perspective of reality. For instance many scientific atheists devote their entire life studying the laws of nature and, to them, this may be their form of divine devotion whether they know it or not. In fact, because of this, I submit to you that a large percentage of such atheists are closer to spirituality than many religionists.
