I was in the sixth grade and had just seen the Mummy (a horror movie), which made me unable to sleep. Now I hadn't really been a good christian my whole life. My family didnt go to church anymore, I didnt pray, etc. But anyway, as I lay scared in my dark room I thought about a book that we had to read for school, A Banner in the Sky.
Now in this book, the main character is trapped and says the lords prayer. He is soon saved. I didn't know the lords prayer up until then, but I somehow the words came to me.
As I finished praying, the ceiling of my dark room lit up, the whole cieling. I was a bit shocked, but I wasnt afraid anymore; instead I felt very safe. Since then I have prayed nearly every night, I have a strong faith in God.
I have no doubts that God chose that night to enter my life, and I hope that this miracle of how I found my faith can inspire some of you.
